Lazaroo – Saturday, August 10, 2013

No comments, Aug 10, 2013

Hold nothing back, as you pray this Lazaroo out loud:

“You know that everyone in the province of Asia has deserted me, including Phygelus and Hermogenes.”
(2 Timothy 1:15)

How could anyone desert the great Apostle Paul, Jesus?

Of course, that’s not how he was known then, was he?
That’s what we call him 2,000 years later.

At the time he wrote this

a lot of people wrote him off

because he was in jail.

Upstanding, law-abiding people didn’t want to be associated with him.

He was a loser.
He had become irrelevant.

What could he accomplish behind bars?

As it turns out, quite a lot.

As effective as he was on the outside

he was many times more effective from his cell.

The letters he wrote were dictated by You

comprising much of our Bible’s New Testament.

Please help me remember:

The impact of my life cannot be measured
by what people think of me now.
