Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, as His light dawns in your soul:

“After the boy is weaned, I will take him and present him before the LORD, and he will live there always.”
(1 Samuel 1:22)

Hannah wasn’t taking the boy to you for a visit, was she, Jesus?

She had promised to give her son to You

permanently.

What a picture.

That’s Your call to me, isn’t it?

Not half of my heart
not most of my heart
all my heart

always.

I dip in and out, don’t I?

I don’t mean to…

but I do.

I “visit” You

enjoy Your Presence
draw on Your strength
get direction from Your Word
enjoy the warmth of Your people
heal up

then, batteries charged, I disconnect.

I’m off, doing my own thing.

“See You later!”

Why do I do that?

That’s when I sin
lose my way
do stupid stuff.

O God.

Help me do a “Samuel”…

and live with You

always.
