Lazaroo – Sunday, January 27, 2013

Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with utter abandon:

“Satan went out from the presence of the LORD and afflicted Job with painful sores from the soles of his feet to the top of his head. Then Job took a piece of broken pottery and scraped himself with it as he sat among the ashes. His wife said to him, ‘Are you still holding on to your integrity? Curse God and die!’”
(Job 2:7-9)

Job’s wife was somewhat less than helpful, wasn’t she, Jesus?

But she sure does speak for a lot of people.

To them, integrity has no value unless it pays off –

right away.

Otherwise, they reason, “What’s the point?

“Why trust the goodness of God
if bad things are happening?

“Why trust the power of God
if He’s not working any miracles for You?

“Why believe in a God Who answers prayer
if you’re calling out to Him –

and getting no reply?”

 It’s called: “Faith.”
