Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, in a spirit of correctible humility:

“Do not keep talking so proudly or let your mouth speak such arrogance…”
(1 Samuel 2:3)

Do I do that, Jesus?

I don’t think so…
but maybe I’m wrong.

I wonder what my friends and family would say if I asked them –

and they dared to tell me the truth.

Would they be able to confirm my humility…

or would they be forced to reveal a prideful spirit in me
that I’ve hidden from myself?

How much of the time do I think I know exactly what’s going on

when in reality
I don’t have a clue?
