Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with a humbled heart:

“He has given King David a wise son, endowed with intelligence…”
(2 Chronicles 2:12)

 Intelligence is a great gift, Jesus –

one You did not give to all of us.

Just when I think I’m pretty smart

is when I’m most likely to do something stupid.

Afterwards, I don’t feel so smart.

So I humble myself
plunge deeply into Your life-giving Word

seek Godly advice
cry out to You with all my heart.

You hear my plea
rescue me

put a smile on my face
a song in my heart.

But in the midst of my grateful celebration

please don’t let me start thinking
I’m pretty smart.
