Lazaroo – Monday, March 11, 2013

Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, in humble recognition:

“For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse.”
(Romans 1:20)

I want to stand up and cheer when I read this one, LORD.

It’s tough.
No-nonsense.
Straightforward.

Atheists and agnostics are without excuse.

They don’t have a leg to stand on.

They’re intellectual hypocrites –

stubbornly arguing against Your existence
while plugging their ears and covering their eyes.

The only thing they refuse to cover up
is their defiant, blaspheming mouths.

But before I become too excited about pointing at them

perhaps I had better consider the three fingers
pointing right back at me.

This warning also includes me, doesn’t it, Jesus?

I too…am without excuse.

Oh, I acknowledge You as my Creator.

Where I still fall woefully short…

is in my obedience.
