Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with deep humility:

“This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you…”
(1 John 1:5)

That’s the way I long for it to be, Jesus.

First, I want to hear directly from You

through Your Word
by the Holy Spirit

speaking to my heart

through Your people
in my innermost being
by Your orchestration of worldwide events

solidly reconfirmed by Your holy Word.

Only then –

when I’m absolutely confident I’ve heard from You –
am I ready to share Your promptings with others.

But with humility –

knowing that for all my confidence

You’re God
and I’m not.

Never let me lead anyone astray!

May I always walk softly before You.

May I always be quick to listen

and slow to speak.

May I maintain a spirit that is eager to be corrected when anyone –

whether small or great –

can show me my error

by the light of Your Word.
