To live life without sacrifice sounds like a mighty good thing, Jesus

but it isn’t.

This was not a blessing You were pronouncing upon Your people

but a punishment.

If everything comes easily to me

I don’t appreciate the result
I take it for granted.

The things I now cherish I’ve had to work for.

They were challenges to overcome
mountains to climb
pain to endure

as You sacrificed all for me on the cross.
