Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with yearning faith:

“I hope that, as you have understood us in part, you will come to understand fully that you can boast of us just as we will boast of you in the day of the Lord Jesus.”
(2 Corinthians 1:13-14)

That’s my problem, isn’t it, Jesus?

I only understand the people around me

in part

which is how they understand me:

in part.

Because they understand me only in part
some people judge me too harshly

just as I do them.

Others think more highly of me than I deserve.
If only they knew what I know about me!

I’m sure the same is true of those I look up to.

If I knew their inner world…
would I still look up to them?

Please prepare me for that coming day

when I will know them
and they will know me

as fully as You know us both right now.
