Lazaroo – Sunday, February 5, 2012

Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with sold-out surrender:

“The boundary of the Amorites was from Scorpion Pass to Sela and beyond.”
(Judges 1:36)

Where are my boundaries, Jesus?

I used to want it all.

Since then, I’ve learned some things the hard way.

I don’t want it all anymore.

You’ve shown me the price tag
taught me an extremely valuable lesson –

then repeated it a few dozen times
till it’s finally penetrated my thick skull:

Some things aren’t worth the price.

But…a handful of things are –

those You’ve assigned to me.

Those are the only things I’m interested in.

I have not one shred of interest
in the experiences You’ve reserved for others

except to rejoice with them
over their victories.

All I want to know is this:

How far do my boundaries extend –

North
South
East
West?

Because those – in partnership with You –

are what I will give my all
to my dying breath

to achieve.
