Beg for God’s wisdom, understanding and strength, as you pray aloud the words of this Lazaroo:

“I am certain that you are trying to gain time, because you realize that this is what I have firmly decided…”
(Daniel 2:8)

What a terrible moment, Jesus –

to discover someone I trusted has deceived me
to learn I’m the butt of somebody’s cruel joke
to find out I was only being used
to realize I’ve been played for a fool
to feel the stab of my “friend’s” knife in my back.

In that instant, I’m in shock.
I don’t want to believe the proof staring me in the face.

But there it is.

I’m tempted to run away from its ugly consequences

ignore it, discount it
hope it goes away on its own.

But I can’t do that, can I?
You haven’t called me to bury my head in the sand of illusion.

Please, God.

Help me deal with it

in the wisdom only You can give.
