Lazaroo – Saturday, July 14, 2012

Allow your heart to fill with gratitude, as you pray aloud the words of this Lazaroo:

“Formerly he was useless to you…”
(Philemon 1:11)

So was I, Jesus.

Useless.

But You didn’t let that stop You from loving me
didn’t keep You

from investing in me
patiently teaching and re-teaching me
forgiving me over and over and over again

moving heaven and earth to set me up to succeed in Your kingdom of Light.

Given all that You’ve done for me
all You’re doing for me
all I’m begging You to do for me in the future…

how dare I write off someone who’s

useless?

That would be a crime against all that is right and holy, wouldn’t it?

A violation of Your Golden Rule.

Spiritually speaking

It would tie Your hands
force You to back off

of Your seemingly wasteful sponsorship of me.

You’ve promised I will reap what I’ve sown

which is why I choose to plant

love
mercy
forgiveness

and unquenchable hope.
