Lazaroo – Wednesday, December 26, 2012
No comments, Dec 26, 2012
Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with pedal-to-the-metal commitment:
“When the LORD saw that he had gone over to look, God called to him from within the bush, ‘Moses! Moses!’ And Moses said, ‘Here I am.’”
(Exodus 3:4)
As replies go…
this one was less than impressive.
You’re the God who created the heavens and the earth
You’re the one who formed Moses in his mother’s womb
You had just called him by name from a burning bush –
and Moses answers by informing You of his whereabouts?!!!
But I’m being too hard on him.
If You called me from a burning bush
(or anywhere else)
I’d probably say something stupid, too…
assuming I could still talk.
So since I’m in good company –
and since You’ve called me by name
(because no one comes to You unless You call them) –
I may as well use Moses’ line:
“Here I am.”
What – exactly – would You like to do with me?
