Lazaroo – Saturday, July 24, 2010
No comments, Jul 24, 2010
Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with absolute confidence in the goodness of God:
“Her enemies looked at her and laughed at her destruction.”
(Lamentations 1:7)
That’s what enemies do, isn’t it, Jesus?
Laugh when I stumble
exchange knowing looks of
“I told you so!
“I knew this would happen!”
and celebrate when I fall.
But You’ve given me a rock-solid promise:
If I stay obediently focused on You
it doesn’t matter how many times I fall.
Filled with with Your strength
I’ll get up again.
So the laughter of my enemies isn’t my real problem.
The laughter I’ve got to watch
is my own.
You’ve made me another promise:
If I gloat when my enemy falls
“I told you so!
“I knew this would happen!”
You will not only be deeply disappointed in me
but You will stop punishing my enemy!
How much better for me to show love to my enemies
and leave payback to You.
