Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with outrageous adoration:

“‘Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you and will rescue you,’ declares the LORD.”
(Jeremiah 1:8)

Is there anyone I fear, Jesus?

If so, please don’t let me lie to myself or hide behind a façade of false courage.

Show me every single person – or group of people – I fear.

Then help me overcome my fear of them

by fearing You more.

I don’t want to fear anybody but You, because –

when I have the wisdom to fear You
I don’t have to fear anybody.

Inspire me to display my fear of You

by faithfully obeying Your Word.

Grant me the purifying insight

to serve You with fear
and rejoice in You with trembling!

knowing that when I fear You as I should, You

confide in me
hear my prayers
grant me long life

and cause people to honor me far beyond anything I deserve.
