Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with renewed perspective:

“I tried…embracing folly…”

Let’s see, Jesus…

if I got tired of working hard to be wise
and wanted to try foolishness on for size

according to the Bible I would do things like…

deny Your existence
get bossed around by people wiser than I am
run my mouth even when I don’t know what I’m talking about
go off on anyone who tries to correct me
disturb the peace
brag
keep going even when I’m clueless
give up when I’m faced with a big challenge
show everybody how stupid I am
talk and talk – even when there’s nothing more to say
spend a lot of time thinking about – and doing – bad things
twist the truth about You
do nothing to help those less fortunate.

You know, on second thought…
that doesn’t sound like much of a life.

Guess I’ll get back to work on becoming wise.
