Ask God for His gift of discernment, as you pray aloud the words of this Lazaroo:

“I will call attention to what he is doing…”
(3 John 1:10)

This is a tough one, Jesus.

When do I call attention to the wrong someone is doing…

and when do I keep my mouth shut?

Obviously, there’s a time, circumstance and place
when I may have to speak up.

John’s example in this passage proves that.

No matter how powerful the person

how unpopular my words will be
how many enemies I might make
how much it endangers me

if You want me to speak up

I’d best be doing it.

But something tells me there are plenty of times when speaking up

is exactly the wrong thing to do

even when it looks like somebody should.

It’s all too easy to think I know what’s going on, when in reality

I don’t have a clue.

I need both don’t I, LORD?

Courage…

and wisdom.
