Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with outrageous adoration:

Peter’s right, Jesus.

I need my memory refreshed!

I’ve got to remember what I was before You saved me

lost
blind
totally undeserving

in sin-debt up to my ears

no way to ever pay it back
spiritually bankrupt.

Especially when Satan unloads his latest salvo against me I’ve got to remember

how many times You’ve rescued me!

Help me recall those times when I thought You had abandoned me

only later to learn that You were timing Your deliverance
waiting for the perfect moment
the greater victory.

And how dare I ignore the steady stream of instances recounted in Your Word?

Again and again throughout history

You’ve answered the desperate prayers of Your people
made a way through rivers and seas
healed the sick
raised the dead.

That’s

who
You
are.

Oh, Holy Spirit!

Help me remember.
