Lazaroo – Friday, April 9, 2010

Apr 09, 2010 I Lazaroo.

Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with outrageous adoration:

“Choose some wise, understanding and respected men from each of your tribes, and I will set them over you.”
(Deuteronomy 1:13)

Those are the kind of people I want You to set over me, Jesus –

wise
respected
understanding.

Set them under me, next to me and all around me, too.

I can’t do this alone.

Of course, I don’t have to.
I’m never alone.
I have You.

But when You hand out assignments

You tend to give us jobs that require collaboration.

Well, I’m there.

I’ve bit off way more than I can chew.

So I’m right where You want me:

desperately dependent on You
desperately in need of brothers and sisters
who will join me in this You-sized challenge.

You told us it would be this way –

that we could ask You, the Lord of the harvest, to send workers into your field.

I’m asking.
