Lazaroo – Friday, January 4, 2013

Jan 04, 2013 I Lazaroo.

Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with outrageous adoration:

“For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made…”
(Romans 1:20)

I love knowing this about You, Jesus –

that I can look at what You’ve made
and get a glimpse of

Your amazing strength
who You really are.

Not a hazy, confusing glimpse, either:

rather, evidence that is crystal clear –

if only I have eyes willing to take in what I’m seeing!
a mind that seeks to understand!

That’s the challenge, though, isn’t it?

Truly paying attention.
Seeing with eyes of faith.

That’s who I long to be, LORD!

What a great way to go through life –

not merely looking at trees and stars
mountains and polar bears
oceans and icicles
old men and babies

but seeing through them…

all the way to You.
