Lazaroo – Friday, May 3, 2013

May 03, 2013 I Lazaroo.

In growing awareness, pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud to God:

“Then I looked up –”
(Zechariah 1:18)

That’s what I should do, Jesus –

look up.

In fact, I ought to look up more often.

Too often, though, I don’t think to look up
until I run out of ideas while looking down.

Only then do I look up.

Why do I treat You as my last resort?

Why is my attitude:

“When everything else fails
I can always pray.”

Why don’t I recognize You as my

every single day
moment-by-moment

#1 Adviser
Wisest Counselor
Best Friend?

Why do I keep telling You:

“That’s okay, God –
I’ve got this.”

Why do I insist on trying to work for You

instead of working with You?

inviting You to work through me?

I’ve got to quit looking up now and then…
only when I’m in a jam.

Perhaps if I keep my eyes fixed on You
my jams will come less often.
