Pray this Lazaroo in humble adulation: 

“…they began to offer burnt offerings to the LORD…”
(Ezra 3:6)

That’s what all my offerings are, Jesus:

burnt.

They’re a little off-kilter

sometimes polluted by the sins I’m committing
even while I’m offering them

sometimes marred by impure motives
wanting my generosity to be seen

sometimes muted by my inattention
while I habitually give them.

I’ve got to clean that up.

I’m trying.

But burnt though they may be

I will never stop offering the best I can muster
in gratitude to You.
