Lazaroo – Monday, April 1, 2013

Apr 01, 2013 I Lazaroo.

Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, in profound respect:

“…many girls were brought to the citadel of Susa and put under the care of Hegai. Esther also was taken to the king’s palace and entrusted to Hegai, who had charge of the harem.”
(Esther 2:8)

It’s easy to overlook this one, Jesus.

When I think of power, I think of

kings
chiefs
billionaires
owners
presidents.

I don’t immediately think of men like Hegai.

He was a eunuch – a man the king had castrated
so he could “trust” him with the king’s harem.

He had no business or government title
never entered the conference rooms where decisions were made.

He was a beautician, a hairdresser.
At best, he was a midlevel manager.

But the decision he made within his extremely limited sphere of influence to promote Esther

saved an entire nation.

May I never sell short anyone!

Only may I hear and obey You as well

as did he.
