Lazaroo – Monday, April 25, 2011

Apr 25, 2011 I Lazaroo.

You might want to be sure you’re sitting down, as you pray aloud the words of this Lazaroo:

“In Beth Ophrah roll in the dust.”
(Micah 1:10)

They had to be in a heap of anguish to do that, Jesus.

But that’s what life sometimes doles out.

Rolling in the dust would be one way to act out my agony…

It might provide me with some kind of temporary release

but something tells me
that kind of relief would be short-lived.

It would certainly demonstrate the seriousness of my pain
to anybody who happened by

but even if they felt sorry for me and offered to help

something tells me there’s not a whole lot they could do
for something severe enough to make me roll in the dust.

There’s only one place I can turn
to even begin to cope with a problem this big

There’s only one to whom I can go
to find the wisdom and power required for something of this magnitude

You.
