Lazaroo – Monday, April 5, 2010

Apr 05, 2010 I Lazaroo.

Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with reverent attention:

“If you bring a grain offering baked in an oven, it is to consist of fine flour: cakes made without yeast and mixed with oil, or wafers made without yeast and spread with oil.”
(Leviticus 2:4)

You’re not interested in just any old thing, are You, Jesus?

You’re pretty particular.

You want my best.
You demand my best.

But…

I haven’t always given You my best.

I didn’t mean to be disrespectful.

I guess I thought that since You’re God
You would understand my situation
and cut me a little slack.

In Your mercy, I believe You did just that.

But You deserve better.

Why would I take advantage of Your great heart?

Why would I give my best to those who don’t even like me

while giving less

to the one who loved me enough to die for me?

From here on

things are going to be different.
