Lazaroo – Monday, December 27, 2010

Dec 27, 2010 I Lazaroo.

Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with excuseless humility:

“On the east, toward the sunrise, the divisions of the camp of Judah are to encamp under their standard. The leader of the people of Judah is Nahshon son of Amminadab. His division numbers 74,600.”
(Numbers 2:3-4)

And so it goes, for another 30 verses, Jesus –
on and on and on, through each of the twelve tribes of Israel.

I don’t have to tell You –

this is where an awful lot of well-meaning Bible readers get bogged down.

They start out at the beginning of the New Year, full of righteous intent:

They’re going to read through the entire Bible in one year.

Genesis is amazing!
Exodus is eye-opening!

Then comes Leviticus
followed by Numbers

and those eyes that were once wide-open
begin to droop shut.

Either You included a lot of useless information in the Bible

or my attitude needs adjusting.

Let’s see.

I’m gonna guess…

it’s me.

2 Samuel 22:31; Proverbs 30:5-6; Matthew 22:29; Luke 24:27; Luke 24:32; Luke 24:45; John 5:39-40; Acts 17:11; Acts 18:24; Romans 15:4

What is Lazaroo?
