Lazaroo – Monday, February 13, 2012

Feb 13, 2012 I Lazaroo.

Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with a heart passionate to follow:

“…keep his decrees and commands, his laws and requirements, as written in the Law of Moses, so that you may prosper in all you do and wherever you go…”
(1 Kings 2:3)

I love this about You, Jesus.

You could tell me to obey You

“Because I said so!”

After all, You’re God.
That’s Your right.

When You tell me to jump
the only right I have is to ask

“How high?”

But that’s not who You are.

When You issue a command, it isn’t to throw Your weight around.

It’s not to show me who’s boss
remind me that You’re God
and I’m not.

Instead, when You tell me to do something

or not to do something

it’s for my good!

You want me to win
have a great life.

So do I.

Keep showing me the way, LORD.

With Your help…

I’ll obey.
