Lazaroo – Monday, January 9, 2012

Jan 09, 2012 I Lazaroo.

Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, in utter amazement:

“I turned around to see the voice that was speaking to me. And when I turned I saw seven golden lampstands, and among the lampstands was someone ‘like a son of man,’ dressed in a robe reaching down to his feet and with a golden sash around his chest. His head and hair were white like wool, as white as snow, and his eyes were like blazing fire. His feet were like bronze glowing in a furnace…”
(Revelation 1:12-15)

So that’s what you look like, Jesus.

Not at all like the artists’ renderings most people have hanging on their walls.

The Bible makes it clear this isn’t the only way You reveal Yourself.

But for now, the picture I’ve internalized of Your –

white-as-sheep’s wool head
topped by snow white hair
with eyes blazing like fire
above glowing feet

are more than enough to fill me

with terror

and awestruck wonder.

What is Lazaroo?
