There’s something about face to face, isn’t there, Jesus?

After all these years
with so many new ways to communicate
nothing takes its place.

Why?

Is it the facial expression –

the movement of the eyebrows
the twists and turns of the lips
the eyes?

Maybe…

but somehow it seems more than that.

When I’m in the same room with someone

the very essence of who each of us is
comes through

which is why I long for the day when I am face to face

with You.
