Lazaroo – Monday, September 17, 2012

Sep 17, 2012 I Lazaroo.

Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, in sober reflection:

“So Satan went out from the presence of the LORD and afflicted Job with painful sores from the soles of his feet to the top of his head.”
(Job 2:7)

Let me make sure I’ve got this straight, Jesus:

Satan shows up uninvited
during one of Your staff meetings.

You brag to him about Your servant Job.

Satan says the only reason Job worships You
is because You’re nothing but good to him.

Satan challenges You to strip away from him his

believing if You allow Satan to wreck Job’s life

“…he will surely curse You to Your face.”

Of course, You know Job’s heart.
You know he’s the real deal.

But Satan doesn’t.
Your angels don’t.

So to demonstrate Job’s love for You

You allow Satan to rip away from him
everything but his breath.

Stunningly…Job passes his test.

Would I?
