I want to love others with Your love, Jesus!

Help me be patient and kind.

Keep me from

envying what You do for somebody else
boasting about what You’ve done for me
looking down on others
being rude
becoming easily angered.
seeking what’s best for me at the expense of what is best for others

Please erase from my memory

the wrongs others have committed against me.

Give me a passionate hatred for evil

even when it’s packaged as entertainment.

Help me rejoice in the truth – even when it stings

May I always

protect others
believe in them
work to bring out the best in them.

May I never give up hope in Your power to transform the worst person I know.

You’ve never quit loving me.

Please help me never quit loving

the unlovable.
