Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with unrestrained allegiance:

“David grew stronger and stronger, while the house of Saul grew weaker and weaker.”
(2 Samuel 3:1)

What a contrast, Jesus. At any given moment…

I’m either in the house of David
or the house of Saul.

David was a man after Your own heart.

As he sought You with every fiber of his being
he grew stronger.

Saul was a man whose heart was divided.

Some days he wanted to please You.
Other days…he just wanted what he wanted –

and grew weaker.

That on-again/off-again life is a killer, LORD!

Please make me like David:

Daily after Your heart.
Stronger.
