Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with full-on ardor:

“…we speak as men approved by God…”
(1 Thessalonians 2:4)

What would that feel like, Jesus –

to live each day
all day long
knowing I have Your approval?

I don’t know.

But I’d like to…

because I’ve had a taste.

There have been times when I –

did something hard that needed to be done
said something unpopular that needed to be said

refused a strong temptation
bit my tongue when I wanted to spout off.

I was pretty certain You were pleased with me then.

It felt great!

But maybe…I don’t know…am I missing something, here?

In my desperation to clean up my act
accomplish more

am I forgetting that even when I swing and miss
end up on my face in the dirt

You’re not mad at me
‘cause You see into my heart

and know how badly I wanted to knock it out of the park.
