Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with humble honesty:

“But the angel said to him: ‘Do not be afraid, Zechariah; your prayer has been heard. Your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son, and you are to give him the name John.’”
(Luke 1:13)

Oh, Jesus.

I would love to have You answer my prayers the way You answered Zechariah’s:

Your angel spelled out exactly what was going to happen
to whom it was going to happen –

and even gave him the boy’s name!

Now, I know I absolutely do not deserve that kind of “messenger” service.

But I desperately long for that kind of clarity.

I ache to know that what I am doing with my one and only life is not

sorta
kinda
maybe

in the general vicinity of Your will.

I have to know I am doing precisely what You have put me on this earth to do.

Please, Jesus!

Show me.
