Lazaroo – Saturday, July 17, 2010

Jul 17, 2010 I Lazaroo.

Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with breathless anticipation:

“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us…an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade—kept in heaven for you.”
(1 Peter 1:3-4)

You owe me nothing, Jesus.

I owe You everything.

And yet you “pay” me for serving You!?

Oh, my God.

You reward me for doing what I should do anyway –

for putting You first
when I have to suffer for You
for simply obeying You each day
every time I tell somebody about You
when I help someone who’s struggling financially
each time I encourage a person who does the right thing
anytime I do something kind for a person who believes in You
whenever I receive the message of someone who preaches Your Word.

And best of all, my reward is in heaven

where nothing and no one can take it away.
