Lazaroo – Saturday, March 16, 2013

Mar 16, 2013 I Lazaroo.

Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with absolute devotion:

“I prayed for this child, and the LORD has granted me what I asked of him. So now I give him to the LORD.”
(1 Samuel1:27-28)

Anybody can beg You to give them something they desperately desire, Jesus…

but when You give it to them
they tend to want to keep it!

Hannah was childless. She wanted a baby with every fiber of her being. When she begged You to do this one thing for her, she cried and carried on so outrageously that the priest thought she was drunk.

And then she took it one step further.

She made a vow.

If You would give her a son
she promised to give him back to you.

That’s desperate.

You did Your part.

And she did hers.

Is there anything I long for
that You’re not giving me

because I’m unwilling to give it back to You?
