Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with sacrificial love:

“The LORD also said to Moses, ‘I have taken the Levites from among the Israelites in place of the first male offspring of every Israelite woman. The Levites are mine, for all the firstborn are mine. When I struck down all the firstborn in Egypt, I set apart for myself every firstborn in Israel, whether man or animal. They are to be mine. I am the LORD.’”

That’s the only place You’re interested in, isn’t it, Jesus?

First.

You didn’t claim the firstborn because it was the best.

You set aside the firstborn for Yourself

because it was first.

When human beings demand to be first

we’re being egotistical
inconsiderate
self-centered.

When You demand to be first

it’s because it’s

pure
unadulterated

Truth.

Anything else would be a lie.

The only place that befits You in heaven, earth –

or in my life –

is First.
