Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with pure devotion:

“Has not the food been cut off before our very eyes — joy and gladness from the house of our God?”
(Joel 1:16)

It’s one thing to have my food supply cut off, Jesus.

Although that’s bad, it’s not the worst. You Yourself said it:

“Man does not live on bread alone,
but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.”

If I have to, I can go without food.

Sure, my life is important to me…

but not all-important.

However…to enter my home church –
the place You’ve sent me

to employ my spiritual gifts
to receive my spiritual food
to join with others in worshiping You
to share Your love with a hurting world
to carry Your good news to the nations

and find no joy there?
experience sadness…rather than gladness?

Please, LORD –

Show me what I need to do
to keep that from happening.
