Lazaroo – Saturday, October 1, 2011

Oct 01, 2011 I Lazaroo.

Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with renewed commitment:

“So be strong…and observe what the LORD your God requires…”
(1 Kings 2:2-3)

It does take strength to do what You require, Jesus.

A lot of strength.

More than I happen to have.

I do okay for a while.
But just about the time I think to myself, “I’ve got this – “

I blow it.

I get down on myself.
Feel terrible.
Lose hope.

But then I read an uplifting Bible passage
hear a stirring message
get inspired by some Christian’s example

and give it another try –

only to blow it again
and again
and again.

So, no –

I’m not strong enough.

But it still doesn’t excuse me from doing what You require, does it?

What a dilemma!

You expect me to do something I don’t have the ability to do.

Since I don’t have the strength…

teach me how to draw on Yours.

Exodus 15:13; Deuteronomy 33:25; Nehemiah 8:10; Psalms 21:1-2; Psalms 68:28; Psalms 86:16; Isaiah 30:15; 1 Corinthians 1:22-25; Ephesians 1:18-21

What is Lazaroo?
