Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with laser-focused intensity:

“‘With such offerings from your hands, will he accept you?’ – says the LORD Almighty.”
(Malachi 1:9)

I have a confession to make, Jesus…

I’m not used to associating my offerings
with whether or not You will accept me.

Part of the reason for that is my understanding of Your amazing grace:

There’s no good thing I can do to earn my salvation
no work I can perform that will grant me a place in heaven
nothing I can offer You that…

wait a minute.

My offering is a different thing altogether, isn’t it?

It’s true that I’m saved solely by my faith in what You did for me on the cross.

But that doesn’t mean I have nothing to offer You –
nor does that mean any old thing I offer You will do!

       It’s me.
I’m the offering.

And You expect my offering to be

pure
sincere
and wholehearted.
