Lazaroo – Sunday, April 1, 2012

Apr 01, 2012 I Lazaroo.

Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, in utter dependence on God:

“So they proposed two men: Joseph called Barsabbas (also known as Justus) and Matthias.”
(Acts 1:23)

How often does it come down to this, Jesus?

Turn this way or that?
Fork in the road.

No street signs.

Oh, sure –

I can take a blank sheet of paper
draw a line down the middle
create a list of pros and cons for each choice.

Often that’s helpful…
but just as often it isn’t.

What I do when the pros and cons for each
balance out?

I can do a S.W.O.T. analysis – identify the

Strengths
Weaknesses
Opportunities
Threats

for each.

Sometimes that appears to settle it

on paper.

But how many times does a plan work on paper

and utterly fall apart in real life?

Who among us can possibly identify every relevant factor?
Which of us can predict the shocks and surprises of the future?

Only You, LORD.
Only You.
