“He chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things…”
(1 Corinthians 1:28)

It’s one thing for You to choose the lowly, Jesus

quite another for you to choose

the despised.

Everybody can sort of get into it when You raise up a nobody

honor them
transform them into someone special.

But we don’t want You to do anything good for those we despise.

We want them to get what they deserve.
