Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud…by faith:

“For in the gospel a righteousness from God is revealed, a righteousness that is by faith from first to last…”
(Romans 1:17)

I keep forgetting this, Jesus.

Yes, I know my good deeds can’t save me.
Only by faith in You do I stand forgiven for my sins.

But I have trouble remembering that this new way of living is by faith

not only at the very beginning…
but all the way through to the end.

I keep trying to make it happen, produce results

but keep falling so short.

I know I’m supposed to give You my all
my very best

but I keep forgetting that the results
are solely in Your hands.

I can plant the seed

but only You can make it grow.

I can invite others to put their faith in You

but only You
can enable them to surrender their will

and say, “Yes.”
