Lazaroo – Sunday, February 12, 2012

Feb 12, 2012 I Lazaroo.

Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with burning zeal:

“I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you…”
(Ephesians 1:18)

It’s one thing to hear about hope, Jesus…

to be told there’s reason to have it
to be taught what a wonderful thing it is.

It’s another thing entirely to actually know this hope You’re talking about

firsthand.

What You mean by hope
and what most of the world means

are two different things, aren’t they?

Your hope isn’t some idle wish
some unlikely event that makes me think –

“Nice thought, but I’m not going to hold my breath.”

Your hope is a solid anchor for my soul
preventing me from being swept away by the wind and waves of

doubt
discouragement
fear
impossible odds
lies
loss of focus.

Enlighten the eyes of my heart, LORD!

I desperately need that hope.
