Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with burning zeal: 

“…eat this scroll; then go and speak…”
(Ezekiel 3:1)

Powerful image, Jesus.

Apparently, You want me to retain it.

First You show this man the message You want him to deliver

but You don’t stop there.

You tell him to eat it, devour it, swallow it…until it becomes part of him.

Only then do You send him out to speak.

How many times have I taken a cursory glance at Your Word

listened halfway
started spouting off before it had become part of me?

Of such behavior

are hypocrites made.
