Lazaroo – Sunday, March 15, 2015

Mar 15, 2015 I Lazaroo.

Pray aloud the words of this Lazaroo, trembling with emotion:

“Like the rest, we were by nature objects of wrath.”
(Ephesians 2:3)

My sin-ravaged nature pulls me away from You, Jesus

makes me want to reject everything You say
tempts me to walk unwise paths.

Nor am I alone in this evil-darkened world of false promise.

Everybody has bitten into forbidden fruit

and swallowed hard.

We’re all stumbling toward the cliff

with no one but ourselves to blame.

Justice demands that You watch us plunge, screaming, to our death.

But in love, You offer Your nail-scarred hand.

I’m taking it.
