Lazaroo – Sunday, May 8, 2011

May 08, 2011 I Lazaroo.

Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud in grateful recognition:

“The leader of the people of Reuben is Elizur son of Shedeur.”
(Numbers 2:10)

This is Your plan, isn’t it, Jesus?

Of course, You’re not limited to this plan.

You can do whatever You want
whenever You want
with whomever You want.

But raising up leaders

calling them
training them
equipping them
guiding them
speaking through them
filling them with Your visions and dreams

is still one of Your favorite ways to work.

It’s the way You care for each little family, scattered all over the earth.

It’s how You enable businesses and nonprofits to thrive.

It’s the way You cared for Your chosen people Israel.
It’s the way You watch over Your Church.

Quite often, the leaders You choose aren’t the best –

not the wisest, strongest, most attractive…

or even the holiest.

But because You’ve chosen them

it’s my job to follow them

as they follow You.
