Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with burning zeal: 

“When David was told that it was the men from Jabesh Gilead who had buried Saul, he sent messengers to them to say to them, ‘The Lord bless you for showing this kindness…’”
(2 Samuel 2:4-5)

What a stunning example of who You’ve called me to be, Jesus!

Here’s David, profusely thanking these men for showing kindness to Saul by risking their lives to bury him after he was killed in battle.

Never mind that Saul had repeatedly tried to kill David.

David rose above Saul’s hatred of him, in order to honor his position, as king of Israel.

O God!

Help me follow the example of David.
