There’s always a reason for separation, isn’t there, Jesus?

Sometimes I’m so upset by the fact of it
I fail to remember there’s a reason for it.

When I’m separated from those I love I feel pain, loss

almost a tearing.

It feels like something I can’t recover, can’t get back.

But that’s not true, is it?

Even when the separation is caused by death

so long as both of us have given ourselves to You

it’s only for “a little while.”
