Yes, You did, Jesus.
You absolutely did.

Egypt was the land of captivity for Your people Israel.

I know my own land of captivity.
I know it well.

I sometimes forget what I was before You stooped down and brought me up out of Egypt.

I sometimes forget where I was before You stooped down and brought me up out of Egypt.

I sometimes forget where I was headed before You stooped down and brought me up out of Egypt.

Nowhere.

Well, that’s not exactly true.
I was headed nowhere good.

I sometimes forget what life was like before You stooped down and brought me up out of Egypt.

But not today.

Today I fall on my face and praise You for all You

have done
are doing
will do

for me.
